Ishola Alli is a Photographer and plant dad based in New York
Ishola Alli is a multimedia artist, chef, storyteller, and curator. Born in Nigeria, his creative journey bridges photography, food, portraiture, and plant design — all driven by a desire to create spaces and moments that feel alive, expressive, and restorative.
Ishola’s love for plants began in childhood, gardening alongside his grandmother in Nigeria. “I didn’t know what I was doing at the time, “but it felt therapeutic just being in nature.” That early connection to plants stayed with him, eventually inspiring the creation of Ishy’s Plants — a business rooted in mindfulness, beauty, and the power of green spaces to transform how we feel.
Academically, Ishola holds an Associate of Science from BMCC (Borough of Manhattan Community College) and also studied at Hunter College, with a focus on the sciences. His approach blends a scientific curiosity with artistic intuition, making his work both thoughtful and deeply personal.
Through Ishy Plants, Ishola offers:
🌱 Indoor Plant Design for homes, creative studios, and businesses
🌱 Plant Consultations that make plant care simple and stress-free
🌱 Curated Plant Sales, with a focus on affordability, sustainability and aesthetics
He is also the creator of CORPORIS, a portrait series that explores autonomy and beauty beyond societal standards. Whether he’s behind a camera, preparing a dish, or potting a new plant, Ishola’s work is guided by one core belief:
Mindfulness is the key to growth — in people, in spaces, and in plants.
Let’s grow together.
